Foshan city, located in the central part of Guangdong Province and in the hinterland of the Pearl River Delta, east to Guangzhou city and south to Zhongshan city. About subway, the first subway line opened in Foshan is the Guangfo line. The planning for the construction of Metro Line 2 and Metro Line 3 has been approved by the State Council. The location of the stations along the two routes has been basically confirmed. Among them, Foshan Metro Line 2 has started construction in 2013.
