Zhuhai City, a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province, one of the central cities in the Pearl River Delta, an important node city in the Dawan District of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and an important scenic tourist city on the southeast coast. It is located between 21°48′～22°27′ north latitude and 113°03′～114°19′ east longitude. Located in the southwestern part of the Pearl River Estuary in Guangdong Province, the east is opposite to Hong Kong across the sea, the south is connected to Macau, the west is adjacent to Xinhui District and Taishan City of Jiangmen City, and the north is bordered by Zhongshan City.
Zhuhai City has eight national first-class ports such as Gongbei, Jiuzhou Port, Zhuhai Port, Wanshan, Hengqin, Doumen, Wanchai and Zhuhai-Macao Cross-border Industrial Zone. It is the largest marine area, the largest island and the most coastline in the Pearl River Delta. The long city is known as the “city of hundred islands”. Zhuhai became a special economic zone in 1980 and was one of the first four special economic zones in China to implement the policy of opening to the outside world.
Zhuhai is the only city in the country that has been selected as one of the “Top 40 National Tourism Destinations” by the overall urban landscape, China's coastal city. 2013 China Urban Sustainable Development Index Report Zhuhai is ranked first in the country, Zhuhai is a new garden city; Zhuhai is a newly-launched “city of happiness” and has the title of “Romantic City”. In December 2018, it was named the 20th best city in the 2018 mainland China, and the 6th in the 30 cities with the strongest innovation.
