Hubei Museum

The Hubei Provincial Museum was established in 1953. It is located in Donghu Scenic Area, Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It covers an area of ​​81,909 square meters, with a building area of ​​49,611 square meters and an exhibition area of ​​13,427 square meters. It has the largest ancient musical instrument exhibition hall in China.

The Hubei Provincial Museum has more than 260,000 pieces of cultural relics in the museum. It has the most distinctive features of bronze, lacquered wood and simple enamel, including 945 pieces of national first-class cultural relics and 16 pieces of national treasures.

The Hubei Provincial Museum is one of the national museums built by eight central and local governments, a national first-level museum, a key scientific research base for the National Museum of Cultural Relics, and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. It is also the largest and most abundant collection in Hubei Province. The most powerful national comprehensive museum.

The overall layout of the pavilion embodies the layout of the high-rise buildings with the central axis symmetry of Chu State architecture, “one Taiwan, one temple”, “multiple groups” and “multiple groups”. The exterior of the building is decorated with light grey granite and the roof is paved with dark blue grey glazed tiles.

The outdoor environment is laid out according to the characteristics of landscape and garden style. Through the sculptures, rest gardens, landscaping, and supporting comprehensive service facilities, it creates a historical and cultural atmosphere that is compatible with the main building of the museum.

The treasures of the four major town halls of the Hubei Provincial Museum are: Yue Goujianjian, Zeng Houyi bell, Jixian human skull fossil, Yuanqinghua four Aituuma bottle.

The Hubei Provincial Museum receives more than 100,000 visitors each year and has become an important national youth patriotism education demonstration base and opening window for the youth in Hubei Province. Fares and restrictions:
Free, 500 people are admitted every half hour, and the number of visitors per day is limited to 5,000 (3,500 in the morning and 1,500 in the afternoon).
