China Arts Museum

The China Arts Museum was rebuilt from the China Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo in China. It opened on October 1, 2012 with a total construction area of ​​166,800 square meters, a display area of ​​nearly 70,000 square meters and 35 exhibition halls.

The public education space is nearly 20,000 square meters, and the total area of ​​supporting derivative services is 3,000 square meters. Its main building is located at No. 205 Shangnan Road, Pudong New Area, adjacent to Metro Line 7 and Line 8, with convenient transportation.

China Arts Museum is a museum of modern and contemporary art that combines public welfare and academicism. It is based on collection and storage, academic research, exhibition display, universal education and foreign exchange. It insists on Shanghai, hand in hand, and the world. After the opening of the pavilion, with reference to the experience of the operation of the International Art Museum, the “three-in-one” operational framework of the government-led decision-making, academic committee review, and foundation support was gradually established.

In order to create a clean, beautiful, friendly, honest and intellectual art museum, China Arts Museum is based on the collection of Shanghai's state-owned art units. It displays the art treasures that reflect the origin and development of Chinese modern art. It collects and displays works of art representing the highest level of Chinese art creation; teaming up with world-famous art museums to showcase the modern and contemporary art of various countries, and become the center of Chinese modern and contemporary art communication and cultural exchanges between the East and the West. At the same time, the museum also has art and education communication areas such as art theaters and art education corridors, and introduced supporting services such as catering, books, and art works that are consistent with the overall cultural image of the museum, and actively created an "art service complex". Free ticketing (except for special exhibitions). The fare for each special exhibition project is 20 yuan for ordinary tickets; for minors aged 6-18 (including 18 years old), full-time undergraduate and below students with student ID, and 10 yuan for 60-70 years old; 1.3 meters The following children and children aged 70 and over are exempt from the ticket.
